Toshiba with their latest tablet seem to be honing on their key market: the business sector. The company has announced a 24 inch Toshiba Shared Board (TT301).
With a 24-inch full HD LCD display the tablet looks like a hybrid of the television and the monitor. Well calling it a tablet is a bit underwhelming, mostly because of its size, the manufacturers have to come up with a new name for devices like these.
The tablet will be equipped with a 1 GHz dual-core processor, with a 1.5 GB RAM and a 16 GB internal memory. Both Bluetooth and wi-fi capabilities are enabled for the device. The TT301 will be using the Android Jelly Bean 4.2.1 operating system.
It seems that Toshiba and Google with their new devices, the 24-inch TT301 tablet and Google Glass 2 respectively, are looking to build their niche in specialized fields. Time will tell if their bets with specialized devices like these pays off.
The Toshiba TT301 will launch in Japan, the dates and the price of the device is not yet confirmed. Whether the company plans to launch it in international markets is not yet known. But it will definitely be interesting to see how the Toshiba TT301 performs in the business sector.
