This might be how the upcoming Huawei P9 could look like

Rumors on the upcoming Huawei P9 have been coming in since a few weeks now. An official launch of the smartphone is being anticipated to take place in March 2016. Furthermore, a dual camera and top of the line processing capabilities are expected. Not long ago, an alleged leaked picture of Huawei P9 claimed that the company might place the fingerprint scanner in the front instead of the back of the smartphone. Surprisingly, this might not be the case according to the recent leaked picture.

The allegedly official press render of the smartphone confirms the dual camera rumors. Huawei has already used similar setup on Honor 6 Plus where both cameras were 8 MP, working simultaneously to provide fast focusing and better results in low light conditions. The same system could be incorporated in the upcoming Huawei P9. Furthermore, the renders show five different color variants of the smartphone: black, grey, white, gold and pink.

Coming towards the internal hardware of the smartphone, based on various rumors, we should be looking forward to a 5.2″ display, a 64-bit Huawei Kirin 950 SoC, 4 GB of RAM, and a 3000 mAh battery. Furthermore, we might even see four different variants of the smartphone – a phablet P9max, P9 lite, regular P9, and a premium edition of the P9.

Huawei P9 seems to be made out of metal as expected from Huawei. The fingerprint scanner seems to be in the signature position too. The odd thing is that the dual-tone LED flash seems to be a fit further from the camera than normal.

Reportedly Huawei P9 won’t be released on the upcoming MWC event and we might have to wait another month to get our hand on one. Until then, stay tuned for further updates.
