Specification of Galaxy S7 active leaked; might be launched on June 10

Well guys, after being featured in some vague rumors, The Samsung Galaxy S7 active just leaked with a full list of its specifications. For those who haven’t heard of the ‘active’ variant of Samsung flagships, these smartphones are simply the ruggedized version of the handsets. In addition to that, it must also be mentioned that the Galaxy S7 active will be exclusive for AT&T only.

Let’s have a look at what the smartphone has to offer. S7 active features 5.1-inch QHD Super AMOLED display while being powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset. In addition to that, we have 4 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage capacity which is expandable by microSD slot. In the camera department, a 12 megapixel shooter is placed at the rear side of the handset while at the front we have a 5 megapixel selfie camera. Of course, Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come out of the box. Note that all of the aforementioned specifications are similar to the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge released on MWC 2016.

The difference between active and standard variant of handset is mentioned ahead. Samsung Galaxy S7 active weighs 185 grams while it is 9mm thick. Needless to say, the handset is heavier and thicker than the standard version, owing to its ruggedness. In addition to that, the size of the smartphone is further increased by the massive 4,000 mAh battery under its hood. If you remember, Galaxy S6 active came with 3,500 mAh battery.

Recent leak also claims that the smartphone will be available for sale in later June, via AT&T, while the launch might be made on June 10. However, there is yet no news regarding the the sale of S7 active outside of U.S, but we’ll update you guys as soon as any official/unofficial information surfaces.
