SONY’s Premium Xperia XZ Series Would Come With A 3D Creator App Along The Oreo Update

This year’s IFA Awards were very happening and some exciting things came to surface in Berlin. Similarly, keeping everyone on their toes, SONY took the stage to reveal its new smartphones, the Xperia XZ1 and Xperia XZ Compact. Along with other updates, the most enticing feature of these smartphones is the 3D creator App. This app promises to provide a wholesome 3D experience like none before by offering 3D imagery for customized wallpapers, Gaming, Augmented Reality (AR) effect, 3D printing and of course a lot more.

How Would This Work?

According to the visuals released by Sony, this 3D creator App would allow the user to;

  • Create a 3D scan of the face
  • Pick any style/avatar to incorporate that 3D image (different AR effect embedded characters)
  • Create and Use 3D chat stickers
  • Create a full 360 HD scan.
  • 3D printing of the images into objects.

What’s The Good News?

Well, to keep its user base intact and engaged; SONY has decided to offer the 3D creator App to all of its Xperia XZ Premium holders in the upcoming Android 8.0 Oreo update; though when would it come it yet has to be announced (Source: Xperia Official Twitter Handle)
