HTC was supposed to roll out the Android 5.0 Lollipop updates to their devices with the 90-day time span, a few days ago they announced that this time around they will be unable to comply with that schedule. The reason given for delay was that they wanted to work out the bugs and the small issues with the update so that they could provide consumers with a great user experience. Usually carrier versions of handsets get updated late but this time around some of the US carriers seems to be pushing this a bit a rolling out updates.
Just yesterday Sprint started rolling out updates for its Galaxy S5 handsets. The new information from a leaked document reports that Sprint also started sending out the Android 5.0 update to their HTC One (M8) sets too. Along with that HTC One (M7), HTC One(M8) Harman Kardon Edition will start getting updates from 13th February. Good news for LG G3 users too, their devices will start getting the Lollipop updates starting 16th February. Not everyone will get the update at the same time, so don’t worry if you have one of the above mentioned handsets and it doesn’t get the update on the said date, as update will be sent it in batches. Enjoy the new update and make sure that your smartphone has 50% battery when it starts getting the Lollipop makeover.
