Samsung is going to debut a new project that will be making an attempt to hit Apple where it hurts. There are lots of things that Android is unable to bring to the table and the same thing can be said about iOS. Samsung’s flagships have come a long way and to demonstrate this and the capabilities of the Galaxy Note 8, Samsung has named its project the Galaxy Experience Program.

This is a trial that will kick off in South Korea on November 21 and will end on November 27. Now, who does this project serve? Well during this one-week period, around 10,000 people are going to be selected and will be informed on November 30 that they have been chosen to participate in the trial.

Coming to more details, between December 1-11, they will be handed a Galaxy S8 or a more feature-enriched Galaxy Note 8 when they visit the Samsung Digital Plaza. According to Samsung, its true intention is to give iPhone users the opportunity to experience ‘the differentiated value of Galaxy devices’.

Those customers who get selected for the trial will need to pay a $45 participation fee. However, this fee is going to be returned to them if they decide to keep the smartphone. Samsung also has a treat for those that did not get selected for the trial run.

Anyone who switches to a Galaxy smartphone after the one-month trial period will be receiving the JBL Go Bluetooth speakers for no charge whatsoever.

Unfortunately, those who will end up keeping the Galaxy Note 8 or Galaxy S8 will not be applicable to get their participation fee returned to them. Come to think of it, you’re forking $45 for a brand new Galaxy S8 or Galaxy Note 8 so if you do get selected this is one heck of a $45-smartphone.
