Samsung unveils its thinnest smartphone Galaxy A7 in Malaysia

Samsung in their launch event of Galaxy A3 and A5 held in Malaysia surprised people by unveiling another smartphone, the Galaxy A7. Well that wasn’t the only launch were people were treated to new goodies, at the Indian launch event the company introduced two smartphone’s from the new Galaxy E series. Looking at their recent events, the company seems pretty active in Asia as all the lunches till date of 2015 were in one of the Asian countries. Smart move on their part to start their new year’s campaign from Asia as the markets in this region present a lot of growth potential and Samsung wants to tap into that.


Samsung Galaxy A7 sports a 5.5-inch full HD (1080 X 1920) Super- Amoled display, 13-megapixel main camera and 5-megapixel front-shooter. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, with w GB RAM and 16 GB or internal storage which can be extended. The Galaxy A7 is the company’s slimmest device yet which is 6.3mm thick. The smartphone is powered by a 2600mAh battery and supports a 4G LTE connectivity. Galaxy A7, like the rest of the smartphones in this series will have a metal frame, a welcome switch from plastic for which the company was criticized a lot.

According to reports Galaxy A7 will be available in Malaysia in February. The device will be rolled out to other countries as well but we have no idea when Samsung plans to do this. As per the price of the device, reports suggest that the smartphone will be priced at $420. We will update you as soon as we have any more information about the device and its launch dates in other international markets.
