Latest reports out of Korea suggest that Samsung may introduce a mobile payment system with Galaxy S6 on 1st March at the MWC. After Apple introduced their mobile transaction system ApplePay, Samsung also started thinking along those lines, well they couldn’t let their arch rival beat them. Samsung’s mobile payment system will be based on LoopPay technology.
To make the system more effective globally Samsung is also collaborating with VISA which means that any VISA card will be compatible with SamsungPay. Samsung wants the system to work in way that is more effective than ApplePay and for that they are working on a type of credit card swipe feature so that it will be available with more merchants globally. To make the system secure, the company is introducing a touch based fingerprint sensor in Galaxy S6 for advance authentication.
Maybe this is why a few days back a company executive said that Galaxy S6 will be an ‘innovative premium handset’ with a ‘special function’. Is this the special function that is being hinted at or is it something else, it will all be revealed to us on 1st March, the expected launch date of Galaxy S6, let’s see what tricks does Samsung has up its sleeve.
