Samsung is gearing up for the MWC, and according to the news yesterday we may be getting a sneak peek of Galaxy S8 at the event on 26th February. We sure are excited about this prospect and see how Samsung plans to tease users with its promo video. Galaxy S8 is the first flagship that Samsung is going to announce after the Note 7 disaster. With the battery bring the identified culprit, industry analysts will be putting the Galaxy S8 under the microscope. According to new reports Samsung will be procuring batteries for the Galaxy S8 from a Japanese company.

Samsung for the Note 7 made use of batteries from Samsung SDI and Amperex Technology. In the report it was identified that both the batteries had issues: one had an irregular size and the other had some manufacturing flaws. Now Samsung reportedly is getting batteries from Murata Manufacturing Co. The Korean tech giant cannot take a chance with its new flagship and in that light has made the decision to go with a different supplier.

Samsung will be unveiling Galaxy S8 on 29th March. The company usually unveils its S-flagship at the MWC but this time around they have delayed the announcement as they have taken additional time to test and tweak the battery and other aspects of the device so no issues occur. Will Samsung’s bid to provide a safe device whose battery does not explode pay off? We have our fingers crossed for that.
