Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016) have just been officially announced by the South Korean company by listing both these smartphones on their official website dedicated for China.
Lets have a look at the officially listed specifications of the all new handsets. Firstly, Galaxy J5 (2016), which is the smaller of the two, sports a 5.2 inch HD Super AMOLED display. The device is powered by a quad-core 1.2 GHz processor which is accompanied by 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD). A 3,100 mAh battery will provide the juice to run the J5 (2016). As far as the optics of the device are concerned, Samsung J5 (2016) will host a 13 MP rear camera along with a 5 MP front facing shooter. The smartphone supports LTE and NFC, while the 145.8 x 72.3 x 8.1mm device weighs just 159 grams.
Moving on the larger sibling, Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) features a 5.5 inch Full HD Super AMOLED display. The device will be powered by comparatively powerful – Octa-core 1.6 GHz processor which will be accompanied by 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD). A 3,300 mAh battery will act as the power source for the smartphone. J7 (2016) hosts same cameras as the J5 (2016) – 13 MP rear shooter and a 5 MP front facing camera. J7 (2016) weighs 170 grams and measures 151.7 x 76 x 7.8mm. Of course, the smartphone supports LTE and NFC too.
Unfortunately, the release date and prices are still a mystery. Moreover the company hasn’t yet announced when/if both devices will cross Chinese borders officially. Stay tuned for further updates.
