Samsung Galaxy S8 sure is going to go down history as one of the most leaked devices ever and we thought that the hype around LG G6 was bad enough. Samsung will be unveiling Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ on March 29th but it seems that the device has already gone on pre-order in UK. One of the online retailers, MobileFun, which is also responsible for the early renders and case leaks for Galaxy S8 has started taking pre-orders for the device with the price listed at £799.
This is curious indeed as, yesterday Ronald Quadnt tweeted that Galaxy S8 will be priced at €799 and Galaxy S8+ will be priced at €899. If we go by this price, then in UK Galaxy S8 should be priced at approximately £693. Well it seems as if MobileFun has just quoted the prices as given by Ronald Quadnt from Euros into Pounds. Along with that this is just a placeholder and actual prices will be listed after the smartphones get announced on March 29th.
This means that in USA Galaxy S8 will retail at $843 and Galaxy S8+ will be priced at a whooping $947. Galaxy S7 retailed at $600 when it was launched. If this pricing is true then it seems that we will be looking at quite an expensive smartphone and users will have to think hard before spending this much amount. We do get it that there is a design change, along with that new features have been introduced but this may very well turn out to be a factor due to which users may hesitate in getting it. So, let’s see on which side the wind blows.
