Just a few hours ago LG released its G5 with some enchanting features. LG managed to put forward a completely unique smartphone which we expect to give its competitors a really tough time. Now that the Galaxy S7 is out as well, both these smartphones are all set in front of each other with their unique offerings. The Galaxy S7 follows Samsung’s past flagship footsteps.

At the unpacked event today, Samsung’s mobile chief DJ Koh took the stage to introduce the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge to the world. The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge both carry the same design language, build and material (i.e. glass-and-matte-metal) as same as that of the the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note 5. Galaxy S7 has a 5.2-inch display and is same as that of the Galaxy S6 with a back resembling the back of the Galaxy Note 5. The Galaxy S7 Edge has a 5.5-inch display and has a flat back. Samsung’s unpacked event clears up all the confusions about both these devices today. To know about both the smartphones, let’s start with the design and build quality.s7-h22

Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge: Hardware

Samsung launched the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge with its Exynos CPUs only. With the Galaxy S7, Samsung seems to be adapting its old style once again. The S7 and S7 Edge are launched in 2 different variants. Users will have a chance to get their hands on the Snapdragon and Exynos versions this time. Samsung has equipped this device with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 CPU and also its Exynos 8890 CPU. Both these phones are equipped with a 4 GB RAM. A microSD card slot is in there to entertain the users. Return of microSD card slot on Samsung’s flagship is a huge plus as users have been criticizing Sammy for missing it out on the S6 series and the Note 5. The Galaxy S7 packs a 3000 mAh battery and the S7 Edge has a 3600 mAh battery in the house.

Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge: Camera

Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge both carry a 12 MP shooter at the back. This is the new 12 MP shooter that has been making the rounds of the rumour mills in the recent while. Samsung has improved the camera quality up to a great extent now.

The new 12 MP camera has larger individual pixels which are capable of catering in more light. It also hosts an f/1.7 lens which is the widest lens for a smartphone ever. Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge’s camera features first dual pixel sensor which helps the phone’s camera to improve the auto-focus speed. The new camera can capture 95% more light than the Galaxy S6 and the Note 5.

Samsung has planted a 5 MP shooter on the front. Surprisingly the front shooter also comes with f/1.7 lens.

Samsung hasn’t hinted the pricing of the its new smartphones, but we are expecting the device to cost the same amount that S6 and S6 Edge did. We might see a little bump in the price because of a whopping battery and dust, water resistant nature.
