Samsung introduced Gear VR at the at IFA, 2014 with the Galaxy Note Edge. Samsung always stays on top of their game in innovating products and bringing something new to the table and the Gear VR is one of the proofs of that fact. The only downside of the cool product was that it was only compatible with Galaxy Note 4. Now the latest report by SamMobile will make Sammy fans very happy, the upcoming Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge will support the Gear VR. This move also indicates that the company will make sure that its upcoming high-end smartphones will support the nifty virtual reality device.
The one pertinent issue that the is the focus of discussion regarding this move by company is that how can they make the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge compatible with the Gear VR, having a reportedly 5.1-inch display. The Galaxy Note 4 has a 5.7-inch display and the S-series devices always follow a certain set specifications and are smaller than the Note devices. So there are two possibilities in such a situation, either Samsung will increase the display size of Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge or the company will work on new Gear VR.
Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge will probably be announced at Samsung’s press event planned for 2nd March at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. We will get to know more details about these devices then. Samsung has worked from scratch on these new smartphones and revamped everything from design aesthetic to specifications and through these changes they want to make a point that yes they are keen on improving user experience through great devices.
