According to the updated news on Samsung’s U.S website, the Sprint variants of Galaxy S5 will start receiving the Android 5.0 Lollipop update today. Usually carrier versions get OS updates late but this time around they have been rolling out updates quickly, a few days ago Verizon also rolled out the Android 5.0 update for their Galaxy S5 sets.
The new update will bring the software version to G900PVPU1AOA6. The latest update will also bring along few tweaks for the device like enhanced Voice over WiFi UI and the Lumen tool bar will be removed. Sprint will roll out the Lollipop update in batches, not every Galaxy S6 user may get update on 5th February. As your carrier is rolling out the update you can try to pull it out of the phone manually too by following the given steps: Apps > Settings > System Update > Update Now. Just make sure that when you download and install the update your device is 50% charged.
