At the IFA event in Berlin, Samsung introduced 3 of it’s new devices the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Gear and Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition. Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition is the improved and enhanced revision of the previous Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet.
Galaxy Note 10.1 was the first tablet from the note series in the Samsung tablet line up, before this we saw only the Note series phablet. Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition sports a 10.1 inches WQXGA 2560×1600 Super Clear LCD dipslay with the pixel density ranged at 299 ppi that is just double from the previous Galaxy Note 10.1. Similar to the Galaxy Note 3, the tablet will also come initally with two variants LTE (Wi-Fi + LTE) and International(Wi-Fi + 3G). It will be either powered up with a Snapdragon 800 Quad Core chipset clocked at 2.3 GHz (LTE) or 1.9 GHz Sammy’s own Exynos 5 Octa Core chipset (International). The phablet will also sport a 3GB RAM, it will be accompanied by an 8MP Camera at the back with a BSI sensor, autofocus and LED flash, on the front it has a 2MP Camera that is also accompanied by a BSI sensor. The tablet comes with three different memory types i.e 16/32/64 GB and it also has a microSD card slot for the external memory. Inside, it is packed up with a huge 8220 mAh battery that is an upgrade of around 1220 mAh from the 7000 mAh battery of the Galaxy Note 10.1. As it is a family member of the Galaxy Notes it definitely has a Stylus inside it. Samsung has managed to keep the bezel size smaller and the dimensions now are 243.1 x 171.4 x 7.9mm and the device weighs at 535g. The device is available in 2 colors Classic White and Jet Black.
As far as the software is concerned, Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition is set to say goodbye to the factory gates having Android 4.3 Jelly Bean installed in it. Samsung has also added the same features that are introduced in the S-pen for the Galaxy Note 3 in the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition. These features include Action Memo, S Finder, Scarp Book etc. Galaxy Note 10.1 does have an elegant style, the back also same as that of the Galaxy Note 3 that is a stitched leather cover. Samsung has also made a lot of improvements to the in built applications. To insure the device’s security from the malwares, theft and other privacy issues Samsung has also added Samsung Knox in the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition.
Although it is labeled as 2014 edition, regardless of the fact the device will start getting shipped from 25th of September, 2013 to most of the countries. At the moment the price is not known perhaps stay tuned with us for more updates on the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition.
