Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) with S Bike mode comes to India


Samsung was promoting the an event themed on motorcycle riding with the hashtag #TapKickVroom and had been claiming that the event “will change the way you ride.” Samsung invited guesses on @SamsungMobileIn and on Samsung Mobile India’s Facebook page regarding the aforementioned hashtag. Well, the South Korean company just unveiled the the answer – The Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) with an all new S Bike feature has been launched in India.

The all new Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) sports a 5″ Super AMOLED screen (720p). Under the hood, the smartphone hosts a quad-core processor accompanied by 1.5GB of RAM. Other features include 4G LTE, dual-SIM connectivity and a 2,600mAh battery. Moving on to the optics, we have a 8 megapixel 1080p rear shooter and 5 megapixel selfie camera on the front.

Coming towards the S Bike feature, this is just a smart version of the Do Not Disturb. Basically this feature helps you focus on the road by preventing unwanted distractions. The Samsung Galaxy J3 will stop any incoming notifications while you are riding your bike. The smartphone will automatically send a message to the person on the other end to let him know that the person he is calling is on the road and can’t answer at the moment. But what if it’s an emergency? Apparently if the caller presses 1, the handset will put the call through. There’s one more thing, even if the call has been put through, Galaxy J3 wont let you answer until the Motion Lock sensor makes sure that you have have to a halt. Note that this feature works using NFC Tag and is meant to cater incoming calls.

Now comes the price, well guys you can get your hands on this S Bike featured smartphone for just INR 9,000 ($135).
