Just minutes ago, we received news that TENAA has certified the previously rumored Samsung Galaxy C7. As of now, the South Korean giant has officially announced the smartphone. Note that earlier today, the smartphone’s younger sibling, the Galaxy C5, was announced.
The Samsung Galaxy C7 sports 5.7″ Super AMOLED screen with 1080 x 1920 Full HD display. Apparently the device is be powered by Snapdragon 625 SoC with octa-core 2GHz CPU, and the Adreno 506 GPU. In the memory department, the device boasts 4 GB of RAM and two different storage capacity options – 32 GB and 64 GB. In addition to that, microSD slot is also available for storage expansion up to 128GB. A fingerprint scanner is embedded in the home button. Moving on to the camera section, the device features a 16 megapixel primary shooter ( f/1.9 aperture ) with the capability of 1080p video shoots. At the front, an 8 megapixel shooter ( f/1.9 aperture ) is available for selfies. Needless to say, Samsung’s TouchWizzed version of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow will come out-of-the-box. QuickCharge 3.0 is available for fast charging.
The 3,300 mAh battery finalizes the device’s weight at 165 grams, whereas it measures 156.6×77.2×6.7(mm). The device features a metal-clad body with thickness amounting to 6.7mm. Samsung Galaxy C7 will be offered in four different colour variants – Gold, Silver, Grey and Pink Gold. Other features include a 128GB capacity microSD slot, dual-SIM, 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC (with Samsung Pay support), USB and GPS. Last but not the least, customers would be able to buy the 32GB C7 for $396 whereas the 64GB variant will cost $427.
The younger sibling, Samsung Galaxy C5, was released today with 5.2 inch Super AMOLED screen (1080p resolution) display while it’ll be powered by the Snapdragon 617 chipset which contains an octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU, and the Adreno 405 GPU.
