First of all, for those who are unfamiliar with the GFXBench, it is a high-end graphics benchmark that measures mobile and desktop performance with next-gen graphics features across all platforms.
The GFXBench benchmark database revealed various specs of the Galaxy A9 Pro. It is worth noting that the test piece made available was listed with a 6″ display but the GFX Bench lists the A9 Pro with a 5.5″ screen. So it is a possibility that the tested unit was not the Finalized product.
According to GFXBench, A9 Pro is getting a few upgrades on the regular A9. Firstly, the tested device was running the new Android Marshmallow (6.0.1). The device had its RAM upgraded to 4GB while the 13 MP rear camera also faced drastic improvement to 16MP.
Other than the upgrades mentioned above, rest of the specs of A9 Pro are expected to be similar to the A9 already available in the market. These specs include a Snapdragon 652 chipset, Full HD display resolution, an 8MP front camera, 32GB internal storage, and a microSD slot. The A9’s amazing 4,000 mAh battery is also expected to used in A9 Pro.
As far as the releasing date of Galaxy A9 Pro is concerned, it is still unclear. Although a few speculations can be made easily. We are expecting it to be released after the MWC 2016 as Samsung would like its Flagship models (i.e Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge) to be the first ones to have Android Marshmallow when released to its customers. Moreover the A9 Pro can be kept exclusively for the Chinese market as A9 had been.
