In addition to that, Evan Blass surfaced with another report on the rumored Galaxy S7 active. He claimed that the smartphone is actually codenamed Samsung Poseidon. Note that the model number stated earlier contains a striking similarity to the model number of the Galaxy S6 active – SM-G890A. This further adds weight to the rumors of the upcoming ‘active’ variant of the S7.
Galaxy S6 active came with many amazing upgrades on the S6 which makes us wonder what the S7 active will be bringing to the already feature packed Galaxy S7. As you already know that the S7 is water proof and contains a microSD slot, the ‘active’ variant might bring a big incentive on the original smartphone. For starter, the codename Poseidon suggests that the S7 active might offer salt-water resistance. Further rumors claim that Peseidon will feature an enhanced exterior design. In addition to that, it will come standard with military-grade protection (MIL-STD-810G) to protect the smartphone from drops and falls. Also, a larger battery is being expected.
Stay tuned for further updates on the topic.
