Restore LG G2 To Stock Firmware All Models(AT&T/ Sprint/ Verizon/ Canadian & Others)

Stock Firmwares are not as good as they should suppose to be, but sometimes there are some circumstances that leads to installing the stock firmware again on your device. In case of Samsung, it is quite easy as you can install Odin and flash the firmware through it.But when it comes to any other device the method of installing Stock Firmware is far different, specific softwares are created to install stock firmwares on specific devices, in our case, LGs latest Flagship device LG G2. IF you are here to know how to restore your LG G2 to the Stock Firmware, you won’t be disappointed.

Root Warning:

Since this is an official Release from LG and it doesn’t require Root or Custom Recovery. But if your Device is rooted, Installing this Firmware will most likely to erase the Root of your device. You need to root your device again to gain root access and start installing Custom Tweaks on it

Before You proceed. let’s look at the Models supported with such Application:

Installation Process:

  • Download The Appropriate Firmware file and Extract the zip, if required.
  • Download and install LG support Tool: LINK
  • Download and install LG Flash Tool: LINK
  • Download LG G2 USB Drivers: LINK
  • Turn off your LG G2 and Boot into Download Mode, HOW? Press and Hold Volume Up Key and Plug in the USB Cable.
  • Extract the LG Flash Tool and Double click the UpTestEX.exe
  • Once the Flash Tool is Open, Change the Select Type to 3GQCT and change the Phone mode to DIAG.
  • Click the Select kdz Option file and select the .KDz extention file from the downloaded Firmware folder.

  • Click Normal Web Upgrade Test.
  • Now you will see a pop-up window, showing you the Phone Information.
  • Click Upgrade Start Button.
  • After a Few Seconds, there will be another pop-up asking you the Language and Country.
  • As Country, Select Republic Of Korea and Language English
  • Finally Click OK to proceed the installation.
  • When the Flashing is done, your LG G2 will reboot, don’t forget to do a Factory Reset. To do it, press and Hold Volume Down + Power Buttons until you see the Phone screen.

That is it, Enjoy the Stock Firmware on LG G2.

  1. when i click on upgrade start it doesnt give me the option to select country, it goes to some thing of LG, it said that i have the last version of android, i flashed my phone whit the official kit kat 4.4 rom using a similar process, what can i do? help!!

  2. Hi, i am having an issue with my lg g2 camera back and front facing. On both, when i start the camera app, i appear to have a black stripe on the right side of the screen as if the camera had been moved. However this happens on both cameras, that means that its a software issue. Can anyone hekp me?

  6. The package ZVC for the LS980 is not a kdz. When you decompress it is a .tot file. After downloading 2gigs is kind of frustrating. Is there anyway that file is of any use.

    • Ok but is there any option that I can remove all Korean apps which are automatically installed on phone even I factory reset it.

  11. I have an lg d802t…..does it have an kitkat official stock rom? My software version says it’s D802t10a. .. which of the above rom can I use?

  12. I have an LG G2 F320K model. I purchased it in Korea and I think it has a bootloop. I am trying to download the firmware through the link provided here but it is not fully downloading.It gets to 280mb and then stops. Am not sure why. Someone please help/advise

    • It might be the problem with the server.. You can open the stock recovery and wipe cache from there.. It might work..
      Or Factory Reset the device (if nothing else works)
      You can also look for factory images…

  14. Hello,
    After an unsuccessful custom rom installation, my D806 thinks it’s an D802 . Tried the tot method and the kdz methods and both fail to restore stock rom…not 806 nor 802.
    kdz stops at 49%
    tot fails to verify fboot at the very end of the process.
    Read about someone who modified the DLL that goes with the tot changing D802 or 6 to avoid failing due to mismatched G2 variant.
    Any help on your side please?

  17. my LG LS980 (ZVD) bricked and i need to flash it. which of the following stock firmware should i use?

    LG LS980 (zvc)
    LG LS980(zve)

    i have tried to search the (ZVD) stock firmware but all in vein.

  18. How do I know which download link is for the 16gb and the 32gb g2? I read you don’t want to flash a 16 gig to a 32 gig system.

  24. I have LG G2 800 D .i want to update it but i can’t! .in about phone showing not updated even i try to update. The website gsm arena showing that its upgradeable 4.2.2 to 5.0.2 so what can i do?
