Recent rumors suggest that Huawei might be gearing up to unveil a new smartphone named Huawei Honor 5C. Allegedly, this handset will host an enhanced chipset and an all new design as compared to the previously released Honor 4C.
The Honor 5C will feature a Kirin 950 chipset instead of the Kirin 620 which powered the Honor 4C. Kirin 950 comes with four higher clocked and more powerful Cortex-A72 CPU while the GPU too carries greater performance capabilities. Apart from that, this chipset comes with a LTE support which was nowhere to be seen on 5C’s predecessor.
Huawei Honor 4C was released in April 2015. The 162g handset is 8.8mm thick and sports a 5 inch 720×1280 pixels display. It was powered by HiSilicon Kirin 620 SoC which was accompanied by 2GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage capacity. Other features include 13 megapixel rear shooter, 5 megapixel selfie shooter, microSD slot and a 2550 mAh battery.
We are expecting to see an unveiling on April 13, which is just around the corner. So stay tuned for the latest updates regarding the mysterious handset.
