A rear case’s image designed for the upcoming iPhone 7 just leaked. The photograph from the front and back of the case has been captured from what seems to be a computer at Catcher Technologies.
Catcher Technologies is a supplier that produces protective/aesthetic casings for iPhones. This image shows no protruding camera like the one on iPhone 7’s predecessors. Furthermore we see no antenna lines on the back side. One major change we see is the omitted 3.5mm headphone jack. The source further claims that judging from the dimensions of the case, the upcoming flagship will be thinner than its predecessor – iPhone 6S.

The official unveiling of the all new iPhone 7 is about 6 months away which suggest that they may be of no legitimacy. However it should be noted that some images from a Foxconn employee were leaked in March 2014 which showed the iPhone 6 which was to be released later that year. Those images proved to be true when the iPhone was officially unveiled.
Lets have a look at some features we are expecting the new smartphone to host. Although no solid leaks or rumors have surfaced regarding the internal components of the smartphone, we expect Apple to introduce the next-generation A10 processor (manufactured by TSMC) for its upcoming flagships. Needless to say, Apple will be releasing two variants of the iPhone 7 – 4.7″ iPhone 7 and 5.5″ iPhone 7 Plus.
One major rumor is ‘ no headphone jack ‘, Apple is expected to remove the 3.5mm standard headphone jack from its upcoming smartphone to achieve the amazing thickness of 6.1mm (similar to the iPod touch). Of course the company will come up with another alternative to the 3.5mm jack, hopefully the wired headphones will connect to the iPhone 7 using its Lightning port and Bluetooth headphones will connect wirelessly. Apple is rumored to be working on Lightning-equipped EarPods too while a second stereo speaker could be introduced instead of the headphone jack.
We are expecting both variants to host some major differences as compared to each other. The iPhone 7 might feature 2GB of RAM while its larger brother could be unveiled with a larger, 3GB of Ram. In addition to that a different camera system is being rumored. iPhone 7 Plus could be launched with further two variants, one with a single lens like the iPhone 7 and a second with a dual-lens camera system that offers DSLR-like image quality with 2-3x optical zoom and improved performance in low light conditions.
Please have a look at the leaked case image and few renders of the iPhone 7 in the slide-show below.
