OxygenOS Open Beta 3 brings Android 7.1.1 Nougat to OnePlus 3 & 3T

One Plus a few days ago rolled the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update to its users for OnePlus 3 and 3T enrolled in the HydrogenOS Beta program. The users with the OyxgenOS on board were a bit curious as to when they will be getting the beta update. Well, the wait is over as OnePlus has announced the Open Beat 3 for OxygenOS users of OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T.

OnePlus has been doing a great job in keeping their devices updated and even rolling out incremental upgrades where top brands even to date have been unable to push the Android Nougat update to their devices. Take Samsung, the company has been unable to push the Android Nougat update to Galaxy S7 in all the regions.

Just like the HydrogenOS update, the OxygenOS update adds in few features and updates. The One Shot option will allow for automatic update of the wallpaper everyday. Wouldn’t it be nice to not go through the hassle of getting one everyday. The media would be much more organized, as it will be filtered by months and years. Would be easy to find that file from last year. Any new media that gets added will also be highlighted in the Photo section. Apart from that the photo editor allows you to add watermarks to your images.

As this is the Beta update so be ready for some hitches. One of the issue that may occur is that Android Pay may not work, so in those cases just download or update the app again. Everything would be good to go. Users enrolled in the beta program do get the update first and then they test and give feedback to the developers, so that the update rolls hitch free for the rest of the users.
