Oppo announced its new smartphone N1 three days back in a conference held at Beijing, China. It had been rumored much that Oppo N1 will dual boot Android and CyanodenMod. Well, as we see now, the rumor was semi true.
The device will come pre-loaded with Android 4.2 having the company’s Color OS on top. Oppo has come to an agreement with Cyanogen which will let the users to flash CyanogenMod directly from the stock recovery. There has also been reported a limited Oppo N1 CyanogenMod edition which will run CM out of the box.
Display and Dimensions:
The smartdevice is a phablet with a large 5.9 inch full HD IPS display(1920 x 1080 pixels) with a pixel density of 377 ppi and 16 million colors. The new Oppo N1 measures 170.7 x 82.6 x 9 mm and weighs about 213 grams.
Processor and RAM:
It sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 clocked at 1.7 GHz quad core chipset and an Andreno 320 GPU. The device has a 2 GB of RAM.
Internal Memory and battery:
The device will come with 16 or 32 GB of internal flash storage and a 3,610 mAh battery that will be capable of giving one day of typical usage.
O-touch is a unique featured 12cm2 rear touch panel that accepts different commands like swaping, tapping, tapping twice etc to control the device with one hand.
Oppo N1 features a 13 MP camera with CMOS sensor and an OwI imge processor packed inside. Oppo N1 is world’s first smartphone to come with a 6 lens set-up. The camera plate actually rotates 206 degrees which eliminates the need of a front facing camera. The camera picture taking modes are just as the rest of the Android phones i.e. Normal, Panorama, High Speed, Rewind, Beautify, and Slow Shutter.
The Oppo N1 ships together with O-Click bluetooth remote control, in-ear earphones, micro USB cable, charger, and SIM ejector tool.
Pricing and Release:
Oppo says that 16GB model will be priced at $570 and that it will be available in Chine by October while the rest of the world need to wait for it till December.
This year has been a history maker in the technology world, bringing new smart devices and phablets to us that the Oppo N1 will also compete.
