Nokia flagship to be announced in June?

Nokia is all set for a global comeback after a successful Mobile World Congress event where the company unveiled 3 smartphones, Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 (released in the Chinese market only before that) and a feature phone the modern Nokia 3310. All the smartphones were mid-rangers with solid specs with a very good price point. Nokia 3310 was the most buzz worthy device at the event. Looking at this one wonders if the mid-range category is the one that Nokia will conquer? According to the new information at hand, HMD Global is working on a Nokia flagship and it will be announced in June.

We did hear rumors about a possible Nokia flagship earlier too but couldn’t confirm, the news at hand adds more fuel to the fire. Even though the details of the device are sketchy, let’s have a look at what this device will have. The smartphone will be equipped with the ‘infamous’ Snapdragon 835. One of the reasons for the delay of the flagship till June is this SoC, as it is produced using the 10nm fabrication process so the yields are low.

Apart from that the flagship will have a 4GB and a 6GB variant, as some manufactures are offering the 6GB RAM option. The smartphone will sport a 23-megapixel main camera and a uni-body metal design as seen in Nokia 3, 5 and 6. The smartphone is expected to be priced at $580 in China.

We will get to know more about this rumored flagship in the coming days, the inital specs do sound good, but take it with a grain of salt as we don’t have any official confirmation yet.
