Nokia 6 gets certified by FCC

Nokia 6 will be launching in USA soon, as the smartphone has received FCC certification. For any device to sell in US, it has to receive the FCC certification. The device was identified by the model number assigned, which is TA-1038 and as HMD Global has used model number TA-1000 for the Chinese market.

HMD Global launched Nokia 6 in China in January. The popularity of the device can be gauged from the fact that it received 1.2 million pre-registrations and on the day of the launch it was sold out in under one minute.

Nokia 6 is the first Android powered smartphone manufactured under HMD Global. The device features a 5.5-inch 1080 x 1920 resolution display. Under the hood it is powered by Snapdragon 430, paired with a 4GB RAM and 32/64 GB base storage that can be extended via the microSD card. Nokia 6 comes with a 16MP main and and 8MP selfie shooter. The smartphone runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat and is powered by a 3000mAh battery.

Nokia 6 will be available in 5 colors: Arte Black, Copper, Matte Black, Tempered Blue and Silver. The Arte Black is a new color which was introduced at the Mobile World Congress. The smartphone will retail at $245. HMD Global at the moment is working on reviving the Nokia brand by producing devices with good specs and a very affordable price point, the company made quite a splash at the MWC, it is expected that they will be launching their flagship in June/July.
