Meizu to launch M1 Note Mini in 3 different OS variants

The Chinese manufacturer Meizu had a great year in 2014 and the company is set to take that streak of success to 2015. We already have pegged Meizu as one of the upcoming smartphone brands to look out for in 2015 and the company is off to a good start. A few days back we reported that the company is planning to launch a mini version of the Meizu M1 Note (Meizu Blue Charm) at a press event planned for 28th January along with a wearable and some connected home appliances as well. A latest report makes the upcoming device more interesting hinting that the Meizu M1 Note Mini will be available in three different operating systems.

A tweet by @leaksfly leaked the information that Meizu’s upcoming device will be available in 6 different colors adding a funky and fun vibe to the series and apart from that the smartphone will be available in three different OS variants. The operating systems being used are Meizu’s own Flyme OS which is based on Android, Alibaba’s YunOS, which is also an Android based OS and the most interesting one out of the lost a Ubntu OS variant. In 2014 Meizu signed a deal with Canonical to produce a Ubntu-powered device, now it looks like we will be looking at one on 28th January.

The 5-inch Meizu M1 Note Mini will sport a 720 p display along with a 13-mragpixel main camera with LEF flash and a 5-megapixel selfie-shooter. The smartphone will be powered by MediaTek MT6752 SoC chipset accompanied by a 2 GB RAM. The device is expected to be priced at 799 Yuan and expected to go head to head with Xiaomi’s smartphone.
