Although the upcoming Meizu MX6 was expected to be launched somewhere in April-May, recent rumors suggest that the unveiled be delayed as far as H2, 2016. So for the ones who were anxious to see the successor of MX5 getting official, you might have to wait couple of more months.
As far as the specifications of the upcoming handset are concerned, sources claim a Full HD display accompanied by MediaTek Helio X20 chipset which includes deca-core CPU and Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. In addition to that, we have 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage capacity. In the camera department, 21 megapixel rear camera and 8 megapixel selfie shooter are available. The handset is powered by 4,000 mAh battery while it will be running Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
For ones who don’t remember, Meizu MX5 sports a 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED display while it is powered by a combination of MediaTek Helio X10 chipset ( octa-core 2.2GHz Cortex-A53, PowerVR G6200 GPU ) and 3GB of RAM. It featured 20.7MP Sony sensor camera with two-tone LED flash and 2160p video recording @30fps, plus a 5MP front-facing camera with 1080p@30fps video recording. In the memory section we have 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of built-in storage options. Other features included Cat. 4 LTE (150/50Mbps), Dual SIM, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou/QZSS, microUSB, USB On-The-Go
mTouch Home button with a fingerprint scanner and Active noise cancellation via a dedicated mic. Last but not the least, MX5 comes with a heavily customized Flyme OS 4.5.2 on top of Android 5.0.1 Lollipop.
