The Chinese manufacturer Meizu have kicked their year off with a great note, the company just in January sold 1.5 million handsets. Quite an impressive feat for a company whose product line is not very versatile as compared to other local manufactures product lineup like Xiaomi. In 2015 to date the company has only launched Meizu M1 Mini and on 4th February the company sold 100,000 units of the set in one minute. Meizu’s smartphones follow the philosophy of providing consumers with a great users experience and they do this by equipping their products with great specifications and setting a competitive price.
Meizu’s smartphones MX4, MX4 Pro and M1 Note are one of the most coveted handsets from the Meizu lineup. Meizu’s CEO, Jack Wong in the end of 2014 claimed that the company sells 1 million units a month. The company recently announced their impressive feat for January when they ended up selling 1.5 million smartphones which is a 50% increase from the last claim made.
The company is doing great and their handsets especially the Blue Charm lineup has a funky vibe. Their sales for 2015 depend on what type of other handsets they will launch in the coming months. For doing that they need to reassess what the market needs are and build on that along with that they have to improve their production capacity. If they are able to do this all and capitalize on the potential of the market then they have a very good chance of having a great year.
