LG right now is basking in the successful launch of their latest flagship, G6. The smartphone was launched in South Korea yesterday and sold about 20,000 units. It’s predecessor, LG G5 sold only 15,000 units on its first day. Now the smartphone will be landing in other markets soon. LG G6 will be arriving in the US markets on April 7th. Evan Blass confirmed this aspect is a tweet also adding in the info that the white variant will not be making its way to the country.

LG with G6 adopted a different strategy. The modular G5 model was not successful, so LG with its design, features and specs adopted something that people would love and dubbed it the ‘Ideal Smartphone’. From the very start one of the notions that the company reinforced was that how the smartphone has been designed keeping in view what consumers want and that is what they have provided.

LG G6 features a 5.7-inch Quad HD display with a unique 18:9 aspect ratio. This is the first smartphone to follow this aspect ratio which makes the smartphone taller and narrower, making it easy to grip with one hand. Under the hood the smartphone has Snapdragon 821 SoC, paired with Adreno 530 GPU, a 4GB RAM and 32/64GB of native storage. The smartphone runs Android Nougat and is powered by a non-removable 3,300mAh battery due to which it has a IP68 certification. LG G6 has  13MP dual cameras with additional software optimization. The device also comes with the Google Assistant on board.

Initial reviews of the smartphone have been good, and LG smartly gotten their smartphone out early in the market to push sales in Samsung’s lastest flagships absence. Let’s see how successful LG is in their bid to do just that.
