LG G5 modules explained

The wait is over guys, LG G5 is here with a bunch of unique and innovative features. LG G5 as expected is launched with a modular design which means that the smartphone’s bottom bezel can be removed to be replaced with two different ones featuring amazing user experience.

The first module is the CAM Plus. Its a somewhat bulky one which also carries an extra 1200mAh battery attached to it. The weight of such module definitely improves the comfort and grip of the device while shooting. Apart from that, analogue controllers like circular zoom, 2 step shutter key and a dedicated video recording button for the camera are installed in the module.

Moving on to the second module which is called LG Hi-Fi Plus. This particular module is developed in a joint venture with Bang & Olufsen. The Hi-Fi Plus supports 32 Bit 384 kHz HD audio playback capabilities to provide premium sound quality. This module can also be used as a Hi-Fi DAC and connected to PCs and even other smartphones to further enhance the experience.

In order to change the module, all you have to do is unlatch the bottom bezel of the G5 before pulling it out. Please note that this process has to be carried out while the device is turned off as the bezel brings out the battery with it. After you have removed the bezel, de-attach the battery and then attach it again with the module you want to use. Last of all, insert the module and turn your device back on.

So far the price tag of these extra modules haven’t been announced, although it is hinted that other modules may as well be introduced along the road. To stay updated with further updates, stay tuned.
