LG G5 rumours have started to heat up now. As the expected release date of the device nears, more and more stuff is landing in the rumour mills and spicing up the speculations. Few days back, LG G5 made an appearance in a drawing made by Shai Mizrachi. The drawing showed the G5 with a dual camera setup at the back and also its dimensions. Just after a while after the drawing surfaced, an image leaked over the web displaying the G5 hidden under a protective case. The protective case didn’t let us get a clearer idea about the design of the LG G5, but it definitely showed the dual camera setup which further confirmed the drawing. The leaked image also displayed a fingerprint scanner right below the dual camera setup and it further showed that the volume buttons have been shifted to the side of the smartphone.
Keeping in view the drawing and the leaked image of the phone, Techconfigurations have come up with 3G renders of the smartphone. The 3G renders hint at a 5.6 inch display and also portray the camera placement accompanied by the fingerprint scanner at the back.
According Technoconfigurations, LG G5 will flaunt a 5.6-inch 2K display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. LG is planning to equip it with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 CPU, Adreno 530 GPU, 4 GB RAM. The dual camera module at the back will cater a 16 MP and an 8 MP shooter. The dual camera module will support 4K video shooting and also the optical image stabilization. As far as the front camera is concerned, LG G5 will sport an 8 MP camera that will be able to capture 1080P videos. The dimensions of the device are supposed to be 149.4 x 73.9 x 8.2 which is pretty thin as compared the G4. LG G5 will host a USB C-type at the bottom. The volume rockers will be shifted to the left hand side of the phone. LG G5 will probably run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box as it is the latest version of Android available right now. LG is all set to pull the G5 out of curtains on 21st February, 2016. Note that this is the same day when Samsung is expected to release the Galaxy S7, so we might see these manufacturers giving each other a tough time.
We all have our eyes on MWC, 2016 now. What’s your take on the LG G5? Let us know through the comments.
