LG may unveil the second generation G Flex smartphone at CES (Consumer Electronic Show), the coming week. The G Flex smartphone series is LG’s take on a curved flexible display, the first smartphone from this was introduced in 2013. Usually manufacturers do not launch smartphones at the CES, but this trend may change this time around, with reports also suggesting that HTC may unveil the next HTC One (HTC Hima) there also. Qualcomm’s tweet also hint at an LG smartphone getting unveiled at CES. Although the company does not outright say which manufacturer’s device will be coming next week, but the accompanied picture, showing the rear panel looks very similar to LG G series devices.
Not a lot of information about the specifications of LG G Flex 2 are available, if we go by Qualcomm’s tweet then the smartphone will be powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 805 or 810 processor. The smartphone may sport a 5/ 5.5-inch Plastic-OLED 1080 pixel display. This time around the maunfacturer is working on a bit smaller display than LG G Flex 6-inch display that was used last time. The smartphone will support a LTE-A connectivity No information about the camera specs or storage is available yet. The LG G Flex 2 will have a self-healing rear panel and maybe even more flexible than the first Flex smartphone.
Most of the details about the LG G Flex 2 are a bit sketchy, so information about when it will be launching in different markets is still unknown.
