Lenovo just revealed an all new TAB 3 series on the MWC 2016. This series consists of three different tablets with 7 inch, 8 inch and 10 inch screen sizes. The smaller sized, 7″ and 8″ are more of a family tablet while the 10″ tab is intended to target the business community.
Fortunately for the budget conscious customers, Lenovo decided to go easy on your wallets. TAB3 7 and TAB3 8 are offer a very attractive price tag though both of them feature almost similar specifications. Both of them are being powered by a quad-core 1GHz MediaTek processor and 1 GB RAM. 5MP rear and 2MP front camera will come standard with both of the Tablets while the OS running in them is none other than Android Marshmallow. Naturally, TAB3 7 will feature a 7 inch 1024 x 600 resolution display while TAB3 8 will be offering a 8 inch 1280 x 800 pixel display. Moreover, these tablets can cope with day-to-day splashes of water as they are certified IP52 rated water-resistant.
Coming towards the difference between the two tablets, Lenovo TAB3 7 comes in a variety of color options, including black/blue, white/blue, pink/purple, and blue/yellow, though the 8-inch model is only coming in the first two combinations. TAB3 8’s buyers can choice between 8 GB or 16 GB internal storage while the TAB3 7 is only available with 8 GB storage. The larger of the two comes with a more powerful 4290mAh battery as compared to the 3450mAh battery in the 7 inched variant. As mentioned earlier, these two tablets are mainly designed for a family use, so its natural for them to hold some family specific features. Lenovo installed the multi-user support in both of the tablets so everyone in the house can have their own accounts. Moreover, the company introduced a dedicated kid’s mode with safe web browsing feature and the option to restrict access to the tablet at chosen times or days of week.
Moving on to the final, TAB3 10, variant of the series; this tablet is designed to be a bit more personal that the other two. This tablet will be featuring a 10-inch 1080p display which will come under the protection of Gorilla Glass 3. The device will be powered by a quad-core 1.3 GHz CPU along with 2 GB RAM/32 GB storage or 3GB RAM/64 GB storage choice. Naturally, this variant will be running on a larger 7000mAh battery. Other than the above mentioned specs, TAB3 10 will carry a 8MP rear and 5MP front facing camera, twin Dolby Atmos speakers, NFC and GPS. Similar to its younger brothers, TAB3 10 will also be IP52 rated for water resistance to some extent. Prices start at $199 for the WiFi-only option with 2GB of RAM, which can be upgraded with LTE support for $249. The 3GB RAM with LTE data cost the highest at $299.
