Yesterday Steve Hemmerstoffer, a well-known leakster known by the name @OnLeaks, received an anonymous tip by a source who claimed to be a part of Apple’s supply chain department. That tip featured a schematic of the upcoming Apple iPhone 5se. According to the tip, the iPhone 5se looked like a 4 incher iPhone 6. Although recent leaked renders discard the tips received by @OnLeaks.
Apparently the new smartphone will be carrying a design which considerably resembles the iPhone 5s launched in 2013. This might just proved to be a decision well welcomed as iPhone 5s is still considered a wonderfully designed smartphone. The render, allegedly created by a case maker, shows a design featuring metal plates at the back along with the glass caps on the top and bottom while the facetime camera is placed above the the earpiece.
The source claims that the new smartphone is almost identical to the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s launched in 2012 and 2013 respectively. Although we can observe that the sleep/wake/power button has relocated to the side of the phone like in 6th generation. In addition to that, the edges seem to be a little curved as compared to 5s/5. Coming towards one major anomaly, the renders don’t show a touch ID rather claim that the upcoming iPhone 5se will feature the old conventional Apple home button. This definitely wont be true, according to sold reports – Apple iPhone 5se will feature fingerprint security.
Apart from the renders , we are expecting the upcoming smartphone to be powered by the A9 and M9 chips from the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. Furthermore, the device will come with the Live Photo feature, upgraded iSight camera, an NFC chip for Apple Pay. As far as the colors are concerned, we are expecting the smartphone to be unveiled in the new Rose Gold color along with the standard Gold, Silver and Space gray shades.
Apple iPhone 5se is expected to be launched on March 22 by the company(though previous rumors pointed towards 15th March). In addition to that we are anticipating an unveiling of Apple iPad 3 and an upgraded Apple Watch. The newer iPad will basically be targeting those customers who’d love the performance capabilities of the iPad Pro minus the 12.9″ screen size and sky high price. Therefore the iPad 3 will be running a A9X chipset along with 4GB of RAM, feature quad-speakers while support compatibility with Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard. As far as the refreshed Apple Watch is concerned, reports are that the new watch might surface with Apple FaceTime support.
We will be updating you as the topic develops, stay tuned.
