As the release of the new flagship by Apple approaches, rumors and leaks have started to pile up one on another. You might remember a rather important report we gave you couple of days ago which claimed the upcoming flagship has successfully passed the third round of its testing for water and dust proofing. Note that the report came from a Taiwanese source in Apple’s supply chain. In addition to the water and dust proofing, the iPhone 7 will allegedly sport a touch-sensitive capacitive home button. However now we have been treated with another interesting alleged schematics of the upcoming iPhone 7 Pro.
The above attached schematic all but confirms the previous rumors we have been hearing regarding the upcoming Cupertino flagships. First of all, the schematic supports the announcement by Ming-Chi Kuo which stated that upcoming Apple iPhone 7 Plus feature a dual camera system on its back. Reportedly, these lens are to be manufactured by Sony and are expected to be of 12 megapixels each. One of the lens will host a larger aperture than the other and will be accompanied by OIS. The other lens will be equipped by 2-3x optical zoom. Almost a year ago, Apple was given a patent for the exact photographic setup mentioned above.
In addition to that, the schematic shows no 3.5mm headphone jack which we have been speculating since months now. We have been expecting Apple to remove the 3.5mm standard headphone jack from its upcoming smartphone to achieve the amazing thickness of 6.1mm (similar to the iPod touch). Of course the company will come up with another alternative to the 3.5mm jack, hopefully the wired headphones will connect to the iPhone 7 using its Lightning port and Bluetooth headphones will connect wirelessly. Apple is rumored to be working on Lightning-equipped EarPods too.
The aforementioned analyst also claims that the upcoming handsets will feature an all-glass enclosure with a design which resembles the famous iPhone 4 and 4s. Coming towards the three dots visible at the rear bottom of the handset, various sources are claiming that these are either of a smart connector (like the one available in iPad Pro) or of wireless charging.
Looks like the Apple iPhone 7 series will be unveiled with some amazing new features, but of course, we’ll have to wait for the official release to know how credible the leaks are. Stay tuned for the latest news.
