Apple believes that for the users, the most important features are the camera and the battery life of a smartphone. So it tends to improve the performance of both in its iOS devices. They said that it wouldn’t be surprising if the iPad 5 and iPad mini 2 come with upgraded cameras, but to predict what the improvements could be is seemingly not possible.
KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo say that the upgrade should be fairly substantial. The last devices by Apple, the iPad and iPad mini, each featured the same camera seen in the iPad 3, which was a 5-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.4 aperture, but Kuo expects the new Apple tablets to have 8-megapixel rear cameras with larger apertures.
To recall, the iPhone, iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S feature an 8-megapixel camera. iPhone 5S will an improved one, with a bigger aperture so as to capture in low light and with the feature of slow-mo video making.
However, we’re just weeks away from the official launch of the tablets, assuming that Apple will do it in mid-October, as rumored.
