1.This guide is intended for the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 users having the model number listed  above only. In case you don’t have the device listed here, do not proceed. Using the files and method listed here will result in bricking it. You can check your device’s model number in Settings > General > About device.

    • @disqus_wU39Qi8yv8:disqus Have you tried rebooting your device using the power key as well? long press the power key and see if it reboots or not. Or else flash a stock firmware to recover the device.

  1. First of all thanks for you post, it sounds useful to me atleast to the moment. I have doubt to check, as below –

While taking the backup the device screen off at around 50% and doesn’t turn on on pressing any buttons. Finally need to press power button for 5 sec to turn the screen on but in the TWRP back folder shows the backup taken is this expected? I don’t want to flash my device without knowing if i have got the complete backup of the current state.

    Please suggest.

    • @manoj_dhar:disqus If you have any doubts, delete the existing backup and take a new backup. Check if the process goes smooth.

    • That’s easy. It’s actually the screen timeout option that you need to disable from settings. My Backup till now is going completely fine. Going to flash to CM13 2016 (6.0). I am using Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 SM-T311 Rooted.
Also thanks @usamamujtaba:disqus for the clean and easy tutorial. Didn’t even brick my device because of you! Cheers!
