Now that we have the base all set, it’s time to get the maximum out of this phone. Our friend, a popular XDA Recognised Developer is up with his Dr.Ketan ROM. We have already seen the Dr.Ketan ROM for the Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note 5 and now is the time for the Galaxy Note 8. Dr.Ketan custom ROM for the Galaxy Note 8 brings all the options that you would want to see in a good fat custom ROM.

Dr.Ketan Custom ROM for the Galaxy Note 8 is based on the latest N950FXXU1AQl1 firmware. The ROM is pre-rooted with Magisk since it happens to be the best option to root any Android phone at the moment. Dr Ketan has also Deknoxed the ROM and debloated it so that you don’t have to go through anything sluggish inside your phone. This is an Ad-Free ROM. You don’t have to go through any weird advertisements running through your phone. Upon tapping the reboot option, you will be presented by the 4-Way Reboot. A good thing about this ROM is, you will find the S Health, Samsung Gear and other such applications running quite well.

These applications crashed on a rooted phone earlier. Dr.Ketan has managed to enable these options. SystemUI modes in this ROM include a network meter in the notification bar. Install Dr.Ketan Custom ROM on Galaxy Note 8 N950F/FD

  1. Download DrKetanROM_N950FD_N1_XDA.zip file and copy it to your Note 8’s external SD card.
  2. Boot your Galaxy Note 8 into the TWRP recovery mode. To do so, turn off the phone. Now press and hold Volume Up + Bixby + Power button to get into the TWRP.
  3. As you are in TWRP recovery, swipe to allow modifications. Tap Wipe > Advanced Wipe > Select Data, Internal Storage, Cache & Dalvik Cache > Wipe all these.
  4. Now get back to the main menu in TWRP recovery, tap Install.
  5. After tapping Install > Locate and select the DrKetanROM_N950FD_N1_XDA.zip from external storage > proceed with ROM installation.
  6. Once you are done with ROM installation, reboot your phone into the system.
  7. Upon the first reboot, the ROM will ask you to grant SuperSU permission. Grant it immediately.
  8. If you get a notification regarding SIM card changed, you will get an option to Reset and Restart. Go ahead with this option as your CSC has been changed. Resetting and restarting the phone will perform a factory reset. In this case, you will have to flash Magisk once again to root the phone. That’s all.
