Install Android 4.4 Kit-Kat Custom ROM on Samsung Galaxy Grand I9082 – How To Guide.

Samsung Galaxy Grand has received the update of Android 4.2.2 Firmware and the chances are that it won’t get the Android 4.4 Kit-Kat. But you can install a Custom ROM based on Android 4.4.1 Kit-Kat to Enjoy the Latest Android 4.4 Kit-Kat. CM11 is now available for Galaxy Grand and you can install it on your device, by following our tutorial. This is a Custom ROM not an official one, installing it will cause you to lose all your installed data on device.


If you have ever installed a Custom ROM on your device, then this might not be very Difficult for you, Otherwise pay more attention to the Tutorial. In this Article,  we will show you How To Install Android 4.4 Kit-Kat Custom ROM on Samsung Galaxy Grand I9082. But before we begin, Make sure that you have battery charged over 60 % and have backed up all your important ContactsCall Logs & Messages.It is highly recommended in case of any mishap or data loss to back up all your important data.

How To Install Android 4.4 Kit-Kat Custom ROM on Samsung Galaxy Grand I9082.

CWM Recovery Users.


  • Turn off your phone and open Recovery mode. How? Press and hold Volume Up +Home + Power buttons until you see some text on screen.
  • First Choose ‘Wipe Cache’.
  • Then Navigate to ‘advance’ and choose ‘Devlik Wipe Cache’ so you won’t get in any bootloop.
  • Finally Select Wipe Data/Factory Reset.
  • Navigate to ‘Install zip from sd card’ another windows will open in front of you.
  • Select ‘choose zip from sd card’ from the Options.
  • Select the file and confirm the installation on next screen.
  • Then install Gapps the same way.
  • Once the Installation is Over, you will promoted to Reboot System Now
  • Select Reboot Now to Reboot the System.

TWRP Users.


  • Tap on Wipe Button and Select Cache, System, Data.
  • Swipe the Confirmation Slider.
  • Go back to Main Menu and Tap Install Button.
  • Locate the Android 4.4 and Gapps , Swipe the Slider To install it.
  • Once the Installation is Over, you will promoted to Reboot System Now
  • Select Reboot Now to Reboot the System.

Voila! your Samsung Galaxy Grand I9082 has been updated to Android 4.4 Kit-Kat Custom ROM, Wait for at least 5-minutes for the first run.

    im currently on kitkat 4.4 which i flashed using cwm recovery!!
    but now my phone is neither going into recovery nor it is reading my sim card which i have added in primary sim slot!!

    so i tried to install twrp recovery and then flashed the kitkat 4.4 files!!

    i had taken care of all the steps given above!!

    on flashing it says

    E:Zip verification failed : 1
    Error flashing zip ‘/sdcard/kitkat/cm-11-2014010
    updating partition details…


    what to do please help!!!

      @disqus_dmXfAjWccy:disqus try disabling zip signature verification in advanced options in cwm and then flash it. Let me know if it works or not. good luck

    Sim2 is not working also the back key. and keeps on popping Android Keyboard (AOSP) has stopped. ugh. what should i do? thanks
