Samsung has officially rolled out Android 4.3 update for the Galaxy S3 GT-I9300. Indeed, this is a good news for those who’ve been waiting anxiously for the update as Samsung took a very long time to bring it up. The Android 4.2.2 update has been skipped and the device can be directly updated to Android 4.3 now.

The device has Galaxy Gear support now, this update is more stable, and the performance has been improved. A lot of bugs has been fixed. The core UI has been changed to that of the Galaxy S4 and Note 3 as well, settings app has been divided into tabs but the device still runs on its old launcher. As off now, Samsung hasn’t implemented Knox in Android 4.3 for Galaxy S3 yet but we are hoping that Samsung will implement it in the future updates.

In order to update your device to Android 4.3, you may check the OTA updates under Settings > About Device > Software Update, or simply check for updates by connecting your device to your PC on Samsung KIES.
