Huawei releases teaser for upcoming P9 – images allegedly taken from its very own dual camera setup

We had been hearing rumors about the dual camera setup in the upcoming Huawei P9 from quite some time. Those rumors were officially confirmed by Huawei with the release of their first ever teaser of the P9. Today the company released further three artful images which are allegedly taken by none other than P9’s own 12 megapixel rear camera setup.

The photo sample of the smartphone’s dual camera setup clearly boast about its speed and long exposure capabilities. The mesmerizing photo of the moon might be hinting that the camera can be set so that each camera takes separate images, which are then joined together. Last but not the least, the final image is taken underwater – which might mean that the upcoming smartphone will be waterproof.

Moving on the the rumored specifications of the device, we are expecting a Kirin 950 chipset along with a 5.2″ 1080p display. P9 will host an octa-core CPU and the Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. As far as the memory of the handset is concerned, 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage are being rumored. Apart from the 12MP dual camera setup at the back, a 5MP shooter will be available at the front for selfies. Furthermore, the rear camera will come with support for OIS. The 6.4mm thick device will be powered by a 3,900 mAh battery. Huawei P9 will feature preinstalled Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI.
