Huawei just stepped up its game today with the release of three new smartphones. The Chinese giant announced Huawei Mate 10, Huawei Mate 10 Pro and the Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Design at its exclusive event today. Huawei has joined the league of new design language started off by Samsung Galaxy S8. The display of the new smartphones looks similar to that of the Galaxy S8 and the LG V30. There’s a lot of good stuff about these new smartphones. Let’s learn what these phones have to offer.

Huawei Mate 10

Huawei has said goodbye to the all-metal design. The new Huawei Mate 10 smartphones are embedded completely inside glass body. Huawei Mate 10 has a FullView display which is Huawei’s take on the infinity display. The phone has a fingerprint scanner beneath the display which keeps it from achieving a complete bezel-less design.

The Huawei Mate 10 has the dimensions of 5.93 x 3.06 x 0.32 inches (150.5 x 77.8 x 8.2 mm) and it weighs at 186g. Huawei Mate 10 has a 5.9-inch QHD display which is a huge upgrade over the Full HD display of the Mate 9. The phone is now water and dust resistant with the help of IP 67 certification.

Huawei Mate 10 has a dual-rear camera setup. There’s a 12 MP RG + 20 MP monochrome shooter duo at the back. Huawei has used the Leica dual Summilux-H lenses on their new phones. The shooters deliver an aperture of f/1.6 as a result of the combination. Huawei Mate 10 also offers 4-in-1 hybrid focus along with the zoom system. Huawei Mate 10’s AI-powered real-time and object focus takes the photography to a whole new level. On the front of Huawei Mate 10, there’s an 8 MP shooter.

Huawei Mate 10 is running on Huawei’s very own Kirin 970 Octa-core CPU. Huawei just announced the Octa-core Kirin 970 recently. This CPU is built through the 10 nm process. It’s a 64-bit CPU clocked at 2360 MHz, with ARM Cortex-A73 and ARM Cortex-A53 chips. Mali-G72MP12 GPU is there to give you a good experience of the graphics. A RAM of 4 GB is placed under the hood. Huawei Mate 10 has 64 GB internal storage and it is further expandable by means of an external SD card. This phone has a USB Type-C port.

Huawei Mate 10 runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. Huawei’s latest Emotion UI is running behind the Android 8.-0 Oreo on this phone. With a battery of 4000 mAh, the Mate 10 is a real powerhouse.

Huawei Mate 10 Pro

Huawei Mate 10 Pro sports the same design and body as that of the Huawei Mate 10. There are few changes in the hardware department. The Huawei Mate 10 Pro offers a slightly slimmer design which makes the phone very easy to hold despite its huge 6.0-inch display. But there’s something that’s probably going to leave a lot of users wondering. The Huawei Mate 10 lacks the 3.5mm Headphone jack and it doesn’t have a card slot either. Both these features are there on the Huawei Mate 10. However, the bigger variant doesn’t offer any such thing.

The Huawei Mate 10 Pro measures at 6.07 x 2.93 x 0.31 inches (154.2 x 74.5 x 7.9 mm) and weighs at 178 gram. The phone has a 6.0-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels.

Huawei Mate 10 Pro is also equipped with the Kirin 970 Octa-core CPU. A RAM of 6 GB can be found inside and this phone has 128 GB internal storage. The Mate 10 Pro is also protected by IP 67 certification. Cameras on this phone are exactly the same as that of the Mate 10. There’s a dual-rear camera setup with a shooter of 12 MP and one shooter of 20 MP. On the front, this phone has also got an 8 MP shooter. The Mate 10 Pro has a 4000 mAh battery as well. Huawei Mate 10 Pro also runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.

Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Design

Huawei wants to step into the game of premium smartphones as well. The Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Design is basically a Huawei Mate 10 with a few neat features. If you look at the dimensions, specifications, display and hardware of the phone, you may not be able to spot a difference except for the fact that this phone offers 256 GB internal storage. Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Design, just as its name says, sports a very luxurious Porsche Design. If you have had an idea of the Porsche Design Blackberry smartphones, Huawei has done something similar. In the department of looks, the Mate 10 Porsche Design simply outruns the Huawei Mate 10 and the Mate 10 Pro.Huawei Mate 10 Pro will cost around $950, the Mate 10 will cost around $830 and the Porsche Design Mate 10 will cost around $1700. We are not sure about the availability of this smartphone. Meanwhile, let us know if you’re impressed by Huawei this time.
