Carrying a price less than $500 and featuring hardware that is equivalent to that of the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro, the Huawei Honor V10 was sure to hit a home run with the masses living in China. In fact, according to the latest numbers from JD, which is one of the major retailers posted in China, more than half a million, of 570,000 registrations for the smartphone have already been recorded.

Please also note that there are other retailers such as Vmall and Tmall so depending on the customer’s interest, the Honor V10 might have been a huge success story for Huawei. To be fair, there was always a chance that the smartphone would end up doing well in China. For one thing, it is made by Huawei, and secondly, it has impressive hardware for such a small price tag.

The Honor V10 is running a Kirin 970, which is the same chipset that is featured in the Mate 10 Pro and Mate 10 Pro.  This phone also gets 4 or 6GB or RAM depending on which model you decide to purchase. If you purchase the 4GB RAM model, then you will get 64GB of onboard memory, while the highest RAM model gets 128GB of storage.

If this was not great enough, then there is also a microSD card slot to help with storage expansion. Despite its 5.99-inch 18:9 display, the Honor V10 also features a home button at the front and a large 3,750mAh battery.

Unlike the Mate 10 Pro, Huawei has not removed the headphone jack from the Honor V10, so you have all the basic things present in this handset right now. Other major retailers have yet to release their registration numbers right now so we’ll inform you at a later time if the phone has done well in China or not.

Who knows, if the Honor V10 does end up doing well in this country, Huawei might be tempted to sell it in other regions.
