Huawei Honor 7X gets the bezel-less treatment with a dual-camera and large battery in the process

Manufacturers have started to give mid-ranged devices the bezel-less treatment and one of the several that we could be seeing this year is the Huawei Honor 7X. It features a 5.93-inch 18:9 display with a resolution measuring at 2160 x 1080.

Despite its smaller size, the Honor 7X is able to feature a 3,340mAh battery and this is something that manufacturers should learn from time to time. Unfortunately, since this is just another mid-ranger, the Honor 7X is not going to be a champ in the performance department if your main goal is to help it beat the Snapdragon 835 or the Kirin 970.

It features a Kirin 659, which will definitely make the device snappy but don’t expect it to beat the aforementioned chipsets. There is also 4GB of RAM and the Honor 7X will be available in the 32 and 64GB storage flavors. Huawei normally packages its phones with a smaller amount RAM, particularly for those models which have less amount of storage, so here we figure that the highest storage model will feature 4GB of RAM.

From the specs that we know so far, it has not been listed if the phone is going to feature a microSD card slot but looking at Huawei’s previous phones, it should provide this opening for storage expansion. There is also a 16MP + 2MP camera pairing at the backside, but Huawei has not detailed on how will the second camera will function.

It will most probably be a monochrome lens and a not telephoto lens since the latter are normally found on flagship phones. The Honor 7X will be available in the colors Black, Blue and Gold but there is not a confirmed release rate of the product.

It has been reported that the smartphone is going to venture in the US market, where Huawei might believe that it could have an impact on the mid-range category.
