All the time, we’ve seen Apple’s smartphone rivals come up with comparisons to highlight a specific feature or attribute belonging to their device that is superior to its competitor’s phone. In this case, we have the animoji in the iPhone X and with the unveiling of the Huawei Honor V10, the Chinese giant claims that its own version of animoji is better than the one present on the iPhone X.

Huawei announces its own animoji and says it is better than the iPhone X feature

Huawei states that it has laid out plans for ‘future innovations’. These innovations include sensors present in the IR camera and a VCSEL (Vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser). In short, the company is attempting to make the Face ID feature on its own high-end phones and further improve facial recognition on Android smartphones than on the iPhone X itself. With this feature, future Huawei phones will be able to unlock and lock at will.

The company also announced its own version of Animoji and claims that it is better than Apple’s own iPhone X feature. In these images, you can see that Huawei is showing off their own set of unique animals that can copy your facial expressions and other moves while also sticking out the tongue. Just to be clear, the ‘tongue’ part cannot be shown on the iPhone X’s unique list of animals, but Apple could be putting this feature in the future with a software update.

What we do not know is if this feature is going to be present on the Honor V10 through a software update or not. For those that do not know, the Kirin 970 features its own Neural Processing Unit, or NPU and is present in the Honor V10, making it a smarter smartphone so we have strong hopes that such a feature might be present
