The HTC U11+ is the latest flagship from the Taiwanese giant while the HTC U11 Life is the first HTC device to run on Android One. HTC U11+ comes with some prominent features that the users have been demanding on the HTC flagship smartphones. The HTC U11 Life also comes with mouth-watering specs while running on a very efficient version of Android. Let’s dig deep into the devices to know what they have to offer this time around.

HTC U11+

The screen to body aspect ratio is 18:9, which helps the HTC U11+ to stand in line with the competitor flagship smartphones. HTC has managed to slim down the bezels of this phone. The top and bottom bezels have been reduced as well. HTC said goodbye to the front facing boom sound speakers with the HTC 10, but it didn’t reduce the bezels so far. The HTC U11+ has it all that you’ve been waiting for.

The dimensions of this phone are 158.5 x 74.9 x 8.5 mm and it weighs at 188g. Both the front and back of the U11+ are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. HTC U11+ is IP68 certified making itself water and dust resistant.

The HTC U11+ is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. There is a RAM of 4GB. A 6GB RAM variant is going to be there as well. The 4GB RAM variant will come with 64GB internal storage and the 6GB one will come with 128GB internal storage. There is a microSD card slot as well which can support up to 256GB of storage. Under the hood, there’s a massive 3930 mAh battery to fulfill your daily smartphone needs.

As far as the features are concerned, this phone comes with the Edge Sense feature which has remained a part of most of the HTC smartphones in the recent past. Users can also spot a fingerprint scanner at the back in the center below the camera shooter. HTC U11+ also supports Amazon Alexa. BoomSound audio technology is also there in the only speaker of the phone. HTC U11+ comes with Bluetooth 5.0 and it also has the Quick Charge 3.0 which is a part of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. The phone does have NFC capabilities.

Cameras

At its back, the HTC U11+ has a single shooter which is a 12 MP UltraPixel 3 sensor. HTC hasn’t opted for the dual-shooters yet. Almost all the competitor smartphones except the Google Pixel 2 come with a dual-shooter. We are not yet sure about the picture quality of the HTC U11+, but a dual-shooter with upgraded sensors would have looked more good. The front-facing camera has an 8MP shooter to entertain the selfie freaks.

Software

HTC U11+ runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. Android Oreo is the latest Android version available till date. Although Google is already brewing the Android 8.1.1 Oreo, it’s still good to see the U11+ running on Android Oreo while most of the flagship phones are not even near getting an Oreo update.
