HTC One Max receives its GCF approval: phablet one step closer to unveiling

The HTC One Max is probably the most awaited and rumored handset. We have been writing on it since months now is what we feel like about it. But, today we come with a surprise for you. The GCF has approved the phablet and now we can expect the device to hit market soon.

The GCF approval suggests that the HTC One Max will support SIM lock although it does not mean that the phone will be SIM locked in all of the markets that it will be sold in.

The unit will feature quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE giving support to triband UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA at 900MHz, 1900MHz and 2100 MHz. In addition, the phablet will offer connectivity to triband LTE at 800MHz, 1800MHz and 2600 MHz. Those are also known as LTE bands 3, 7 and 20.

We don’t believe that, now that the GCF approval has been made, the unveiling will be so far.

Stay tuned for more official and unofficial news
