HTC officially released a new mid-ranger smartphone – HTC One S9

Out of the blue, HTC just officially unveiled a new smartphone – HTC One S9. This new handset comes with a design of the well-known HTC One M9. However, the attractive metal design now comes at a lower price and two front facing speakers. Let’s have a look at the new smartphone in detail.

Needless to say, the new handset’s specification are nowhere near the recently released HTC 10. But still, it still is a good catch for its price. HTC One S9 is powered by Android 6 Marshmallow with HTC Sense on top. The device measures 144.6 × 69.7 × 10.09 mm and weighs 158 grams. The smartphone sports a 5-inch Full HD (1080 x 1920) display and hosts a MediaTek Helio X10 SoC under the hood. In addition to that, we have 2GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage capacity. Moving on to the camera department, the smartphone features a 13 megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 lens, OIS and 1080p video recording. On the other hand, a 2-micron UltraPixel front camera is dedicated for selfies. Last but not the least, a 2840mAh battery provides the juice.

The HTC One S9 yet has been released in Germany with Europe-bound 4G LTE bands. However we still haven’t heard of its availablity in US, though customers residing in Europe can get their hands on the smartphone for €500 (approx $566).
