The Taiwanese company, HTC, has officially announced the unveiling of it’s all new flagship to take place on April 12. We have seen numerous rumors/leaks and some official teasers/announcements of the upcoming HTC 10. Couple of days earlier, a rather surprising leak surfaced which claimed that a ‘mini’ flagship will be unveiled this September. The alleged HTC 10 mini will feature a 4.7 inch 1080p display which will be accompanied by SD823 SoC and 4 GB of RAM. For those who don’t know about the SD823 chipset, it is almost identical to the SD820 SoC except for the higher clocked quad-core Kryo CPU. Apart from the HTC 10 mini, the new S823 model might also be featured in the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Note 2.
Apparently another surprise of HTC has been outed by LlabTooFer, a ROM developer and credible leakster, who claims that the company will launch another smartphone alongside HTC 10 on April 12. The source further announced that the alleged smartphone, codenamed A56, will be a member of HTC Desire lineup and will be available in two different variants – single and dual SIM.

We have already seen a launch of Desire 530, Desire 630 and Desire 825 on MWC this February which are basically entry-level, low-end and mid-range members of the lineup respectively. So keeping in mind the diversity of the Desire family, we can safely expect the rumored A56 smartphone to be a high-end smartphone, however needless to say, its specifications wont compare with the HTC 10 flagship. Some sources claim that the smartphone is question is in fact the rumored SD652 variant of the HTC 10 which is expected to be launched on April 12 too.
Up till now we know that the flagship, HTC 10, will be featuring a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset which will definitely make it a worthy competitor of the other major flagships by tech giants like Samsung and LG. HTC 10 will be unveiled with a 5.2-Quad HD (1440 x 2560 pixels) Super LCD 5 display, fingerprint scanner embedded inside a home button, a 12 MP UltraPixel rear camera combined with dual-tone LED flash, wireless charging, 3000mAh battery, 4 GB of RAM and 16/32 GB of expandable memory. Needless to say the smartphone will be running the latest Android Marshmallow v6.0.1 which comes with new features like Google Now on Tap, Doze and a completely redesigned app icons. Coming towards the price of the handset, various sources claim that you’ll be able to get your hands on the HTC 10 for €740 once it reaches stores on April 15. Stay tuned for further updates.
